Our Community Support: Large Donation Program

We believe strong communities are built by neighbours supporting neighbours. As a local credit union, we’re proud to give back—financially and through hands-on support—to the people and projects that make our communities better places to live.

To enhance our community support, we have developed a new program geared towards large donations over $5,000, with a one-time annual intake. This year’s intake is open from January 15 until February 27, 2026.

About the Good Neighbour Large Donation Program

Donations will be considered for organizations or initiatives that meet ALL of the following criteria:

  • Registered charities, non-profit organizations, Indigenous entities or local educational institutions
  • Must align with VantageOne’s mission and values
  • Must benefit communities where VantageOne operates or has a significant presence

*Preference will be given to members of VantageOne Credit Union

Funding will be considered for those organizations that primarily focus on:

  • Financial literacy and education
  • Affordable housing
  • Health and wellness
  • Indigenous services and initiatives
  • Positive environmental impact

Donations will not be provided to:

    • Political parties, candidates, or organizations.
    • For-profit entities.
    • Religious organizations for sectarian purposes.
    • Individuals or personal fundraising efforts.
    • Professional development
    • Travel costs
    • Operating costs or salaries
    • Research
    • Membership or registration fees
    • Annual general meetings, conferences, conventions, seminars, or tradeshows
    • Gambling (i.e. 50/50 draws, raffles, sweepstakes, lotteries, etc
    • Groups that represent a conflict of interest for VantageOne & our subsidiaries
